Was the World Economic Depression related to the starting of World War Two?

The Depression went from 1929-33

Led to unemployment and poverty in numerous countries.

Before the Depression, countries helped one another through trades and loans

-Yet after the Depression, countries acted only in self-interest eg: members of the League of Nations weren't prepared to put forth their military army.

-Leaders taking extreme actions like invading other countries due to hardship, which was then met by a weak response from the League of Nations due to the effects of the depression.
