Evaluate the level of effectiveness that the Treaty of Versailles had in preventing war

-The treaty of Versailles was officially signed on the 28th June, 1919
-Unofficially sparked the hatred that would fuel the War for the Germans.

-made Germany accept sole responsibility for causing WWI
-lost 13% of its territory
-pay high amounts of compensation
-shrink its army to the point where the nation was nearly defenceless.

-Aim~Punish and weaken Germany
-Caused Hitler to have the motive of conquering land, rearming its military and gaining financially which sparked the inferno of World War II.
