Our shop

At this delectable Lower East Side sweets shop, our master chocolatier creates divine confections from a simple chocolate-hazelnut spread to an innovative, tequila-infused dark chocolate ganache. All of our selections on offer are hand crafted in our basement kitchen and workshop on site. Visitors to the shop can sit down to enjoy coffee drinks with their sweets in an inviting lounge setting, fill up a bag to snack on during the walk home. Tache’s name comes from the french word “tache” which means spot, stain or smudge. When it comes to Aditi, she always has a “tache” of chocolate smeared all over her chef’s coat. There was no other option than to name it after the evidence of a genius chocolatier.

Classes

Our chocolate making classes serve as a great activity for any special occasion, a corporate team building exercise- or just because! A perfect opportunity to make custom chocolate gifts for all your friends & family or purchase a class as a gift! Whatever the case maybe, we’ve got plenty of chocolate to go around. Custom gift packaging and gift certificates are available upon request, too! Spend your hour and a half lesson in our chocolate factory learning everything from cultivating, tempering, tasting, coating to decorating your own delicious chocolate delicacies. Make popular treats like chocolate mustache lollipops, caramel kisses, chocolate bars, mendients, grignotines (french chocolate clusters of dried fruit & nuts), or even invent your own!

On the day...

1. Come to Tache Artisian Chocolate shop for a private class with the principal chocolatier. 2. Learn craft secrets to make chocolate with your favorite flavors, like chili or Earl Grey tea or hazelnut. 3. After the class, you and your partner will sample luxurious cocoa or spiced cider. 4. Go home with your delectable treats and recipes to make chocolate in your own kitchen anytime.
